What is the Pre-Fest?

Prior to the main event, a range of stalls are set up to provide food and activities for families who attend Carols in Kal. This part of the event has been steadily growing over the years as people take the opportunity to spend an enjoyable Sunday evening relaxing at Centennial Park and soaking up the atmosphere. Bring your family and friends, grab a picnic rug or your camping chairs and come and celebrate Christmas with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community. Once the sun sets, the Carols event begins and you are welcome to join in with the singing. Stalls will remain open during the main event on the sound shell stage.

HOLDING A STALL

Businesses, churches, NFP organisations and community groups are invited to participate in the Pre-Festival activities and provide a service to all who attend. This can be a fundraising venture or just an opportunity to showcase your group by providing food, drinks, activities, novelties for kids and families.

In 2023, the Pre-Festival will start at 5pm, with stall-holders able to set up from 3pm. This will allow more time for families to participate and make use of the food services provided. The main event starts at 7pm and all stall-holders are welcome to keep trading, or join the audience and participate in the Carols singing. The event is planned to finish by about 8.30pm.
